Salam, to fellow bloggers and readers of this self-indulgenced blog!
Human beings are known for having a limited span of memory and have a tendency in making the same mistake, all over again.
There was even a famous proverb that describes clearly of this impasse; “To err is human, to forgive divine”.
I must say that such an immature remark by Alexander Pope, would suggest that we should easily forgive and forget but not wanting to learn and relearn on past mistakes is another matter that should be dealt seriously!
That the Israelis have now become a big bully when in the past they were seen as victims of the Holocaust, has now become the single biggest threat to human peace.
It is depressing to read a report here and I must admit that it may look and sound a tad ironic when the oppressor has become the prey.
No one dares to touch even a strand of hair on the Israelis.
Notwithstanding former Iraqi President, the late Saddam Hussien who had the guts to instruct his men to launch attack on Israel using Scud missiles during the Gulf War, the present situation would suggest that everyone has in the end knelt to the Israel and have indirectly allowed them to do things as they please!
Even Iranian President Mahmud Ahmadinijad, have slowed down his tone (and voice for that matter!) in criticizing the rogue state.
We have heard numerous condemnations and criticism by top leaders on Israelis’ cruelty towards Palestinians, none of them had the courage to send their troops to rally round and liberate Palestine from this oppression!
Germany, who in the past was seen as the main oppressor towards Jews when Hitler was the country’s de-facto Chancellor, is presently portrayed as whining and compromising to Israel’s aggression.
After awhile I have come to realized that we are indeed living in a world filled with suppression, aggression with a pinch of irony here and there!
