Salam, to my fellow bloggers, readers nor followers of this pathetic low esteem blog!

And yes, ladies and gentlemen boys and girls of late I was very busy and feel lazy to update my blog. Not that I refused to post any new write ups but the punishing working (Yes, Jose working in the Government sector has its ups and downs and one would not be able to enjoy those fruitful moments such as loafing around in the office unlike our forefathers many many years ago!) schedule, as well as other matters pertaining to it had successfully prevent me from doing so. 

First of all I wish to extend my condolences to the family of the late Nur Nadirah "Dirang" Abdullah whose remains was found by the authorities recently. 

I do pray and hope that those who had committed such heinous act against the poor little girl will be brought to justice, as soon as possible!

Dear Dirang, may you rest in peace little girl..

UNITY AND DEMOCRACY

Salam, to fellow bloggers and readers of this collectively self proclaimed blog.

A lot of things has been said on unity in this country and all of these have lead us to ponder; why such an issue still linger within the compound of our thinking and imagination?

Some may say that it is a non issue, thus shall remain at the back of our mind. Unity, as we see it must come naturally within us and this must not become a main issue, from the context of nation building.

There are parasites among us as I see it, who uses racial sentiment to divide unity among us. This is a dangerous game altogether, coming from the dark episodes this country had went through in the 60's, 80's etc.

I wish not to name names, but the reality is there are political parties or the NGO's who have been seen as agents of racial provocateur, to dissipate and to isolate the race homogenous in this country.

And I believe this is the same strategy used by the Imperialist to overthrow a government by sowing hatred among us.  

It is so unfortunate for us as there are people among us who conspire with these Imperialists, in the name of democracy and a just government!

THE INTELLECTUAL GANADO

I noticed that of late, there have been quite a number of university students taking part in rallies nor protest within the University compound or the streets. Now, there are differences between staging a rally in a university compound and organizing it at public areas.

Based on my limited knowledge in law, students will not be charged under the civil law should they organize nor take part in any gathering, be it legal nor illegal within the University compound. That, my fellow readers (if there is any, Jose!) is a fact. The worst case scenario is that the student will face the University disciplinary board and will be suspended for one semester or more. This is where the College and University Act 1971, takes place. However, things will be different if a student takes part in a rally or an illegal demonstration in a public place or at a designated area outside the university compound. They are subject to numerous types of charges under the civil law. 

And the unrelenting calls by these students if not all but some, to demand from the Government to amend the act under section 15B is something uncalled for.

The recent rumpus created by a student from my alma mater has clearly shown an act of pure immaturity coupled with hatred. In other words it reflects the content inside the brain of these so called University students!

There are a few examples of similar foolhardiness by these people, but I would rather not to list it down here as this will not only be exposing the level of incompetence among them but will exemplify the quality and the mentality level of our local university students!

Dear readers, assuming (I’m praying hard this will not happen, not until they themselves have reach the level of maturity in politics, maybe in 30-50 years time!) that the next Government will no longer be lead by the present ruling party for the upcoming election and that the people from the other side have successfully taken Putrajaya.

Can the university students at that time have full and complete trust that their voices and grouses be heard by the “new” ruling party? And how sure they are that the same privileges and treatment they have been enjoying all this while can still be enjoyed by them, when those people from the other side takes over the Government from the present ruling party?

Again, I wish not to list down all the things that had taken place earlier, but just for the sake of argument let us recalled the fate that had fallen on a former PAS member and former Selangor state exco member who had been expelled from the party for being too vocal and for criticizing the Selangor MB.

This is just an example that merely shown “full” democracy does not even exist in those camp, let alone the freedom of criticizing one party and another. The biggest sin for them is to allow anyone from the loose coalition criticizing the self proclaimed “prophet”, (if you know what I mean, Jose!).

Even among the BN component parties, there is a tendency of one party criticizing another (Yes, Jose..and it this matter has been raised in a blog-  but all of these can be resolved through the annual convention or meetings.

My point is that the College and University Act is still relevant, from the point that it help students to focus on their studies and yes, let the politicians do the bickering among themselves and do not involve students in ensuring their personal means are being justified.

Nevertheless, most of the squabble between the opposition and the ruling party in the august chamber i.e the Parliament can easily being diffused at the Parliament lobby or cafeteria.

The only thing remains is that the rhetoric coupled with the feeling of hatred brought by political parties remains the same among the students whilst our MP’s from both the opposition and the ruling party sitting together sipping their cup of coffee.

DEFINISI SEBENAR RAKYAT HAKIM NEGARA

Salam, kepada para bloggers dan pembaca blog syok sendiri ini!

Harap saya masih belum terlambat lagi untuk mengucapkan Selamat Tahun Baru kepada pembaca blog ini dan juga kepada semua yang berada di dalam blogosphere ini.

Hampir 2 bulan, 2 bulan saya tidak menghantar sebarang tulisan ke blog ini. Pertama kerana saya “mati akal”… Ya, kadangkala “Aqalkalayuda” boleh menghadapi “mental block”. Kedua, saya mendapat kecederaan “shoulder dislocation”. Noktah.

Apa yang menimpa kepada diri saya ini tidak penting. Yang penting ialah apa yang berlaku disekeliling kita.

Maaf jika saya tidak dapat menahan diri saya dari membicarakan tentang isu panas, iaitu isu si polan dibebaskan dari tuduhan membuat perkara sumbang secara songsang.

Maka dengan wajah ceria, si polan ini pun berjalan keluar mahkamah sebagai seorang yang bebas. Betulkah?

Menurut cerita di sini mangsa kepada si polan itu akan membuat rayuan supaya keputusan mahkamah ini perlu dipertimbangkan semula.

Ini yang menjadikan cerita  ini menjadi menarik.

Jika sebelum itu, si polan boleh membuat rayuan supaya kesnya ditangguhkan sebanyak hampir 56 kali. Ironinya, ada pihak membuat kenyataan bahawa mangsa kepada si polan itu tidka perlu membuat rayuan kerana menghormati keputusan hakim, seperti yang dinyatakan di sini.

Maka kedengaranlah suara-suara sumbang menjerit dan melaungkan slogan “fetish” seandainya si polan itu didapati bersalah. Namun apabila si polan didapati tidak bersalah, keadilan di negara ini lebih bebas dan adil.

Apakah system kehakiman negara berlandaskan semata-mata kepada si polan itu sahaja? Undang-undang negara ini adil jika si polan didapati tidak bersalah dan tidak adil jika si polan didapati bersalah. Ini yang dikatakan “double standard”.

Memandangkan mereka diseberang sana telahpun mengungkapkan istilah “Rakyat Hakim Negara”, tugas pasukan media baru dari pihak Kerajaan mahupun parti pemerintah perlu mempergiatkan usaha menyiar dan membongkar sifat sebenar si polan ini supaya rakyat benar-benar boleh menentukan apakah si polan ini layak untuk memimpin negara Malaysia yang disayangi ini.

Dan keputusan itu boleh diterjemahkan menerusi undi menerusi Pilihanraya ke-13.

NOTHING MUCH TO SAY..

And yes, it has been more than a month since the last time I posted any writing materials to this blog. Not that I don’t want to but rather hesitant to do so.  I’m suffering from what writers normally have i.e the writer’s block!

A lot of things has been written or said during my absence from the blogging scene, none of which attracts my attention to write nor comment on matters been said, simply because I don’t think it’s something of which people would want to read, or take notice in my blog.

We have top guns bloggers like Rocky’s Bru, Papagomo, Unspinners, Outsyed The Box and numerous other blogs who have written all about it. So let them say what’s best or necessary for them to write, or say whichever comes first!

Having said all of these, all I want to say is this;

“I’ll be off the hook from the blogging scene for another month...”

JALINAN EKONOMI ANTARABANGSA DI MALAYSIA

Salam, kepada para bloggers dan pembaca blog syok sendiri ini!

Hampir sebulan lebih rasanya saya tidak menaikkan sebarang tulisan “syok sendiri” ke dalam blog ini. Dan selama sebulan itu jugalah, pelbagai cerita pahit manis yang telah berlalu di bawah arus masa. Kisah panas seorang ahli politik yang kian hampir menjejakkan kaki ke pintu “keinsafan”, kisah filem yang dihasilkan seorang pengkarya celupar dan telah mendapat “acknowledgement” dari YAB Perdana Menteri dan lain-lain tidak akan ditulis di dalam blog ini.

Ini kerana semua sedia maklum bahawa saya tidak minat untuk menulis cerita-cerita berbentuk sensasi kerana banyak blog lain yang telah menulis tentangnya. Blog ini tidak terlalu mengambil berat tentang hits yang dicapai kerana semakin popular blog tertentu, bertambah berat tanggungjawab dan amanah sang penulis. Apabila seorang itu mula popular dari segi bahan bacaan yang dibaca, dianya perlu menulis dengan objektiviti namun sayangnya tak ramai punyai kesedaran sedemikian. Ada cerita yang tiada, diadakan dan begitu juga sebaliknya!

Saya selesa dengan jumlah pengunjung blog ini, yang berjumlah sekitar 100,000 lebih dan tidak merasa risau jika blog ini tidak mencapai 1,000,000 hits!

Cerita pokok. Dalam kesibukan kita mencari bahan-bahan sensasi, baik dari cerita-cerita politik mahupun mengenai artis tempatan, kita langsung tidak mahu mencari peluang untuk menaikkan taraf kehidupan kita, baik dari aspek ekonomi mahupun spiritual.

Kesan kenaikan harga barang yang berlaku bukan sahaja di Malaysia malah di seluruh dunia, tidak pernah menginsafkan kita. Malah kita meminta supaya pihak pemerintah memberikan lebih banyak subsidi bagi menampung kesan sedemikian! Semuanya gara-gara keinginan kita untuk terus hidup selesa di dalam keadaan yang serba tidak selesa!

Benar, kita perlu mengubahsuai cara hidup kita demi menyesuaikan kepada keadaan semasa namun ia tidaklah sehingga menampakkan gesaan itu persis tidak masuk akal, seperti menaiki basikal ke tempat kerja dan lain-lain. Berbalik kepada mencari cul-de-sac demi meningkatkan taraf kehidupan kita di dalam keadaan semasa, bekas Perdana Menteri Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad memberikan cadangan beliau di sini . Mengapakah rakyat (baca peniaga, usahawan) tidak mahu bersungguh-sungguh mencari rakan kongsi dari negara Asia Barat, atau mungkin dari negara Timur Tengah untuk menjalinkan perkongsian ekonomi?

Secara jujurnya, negara Amerika Syarikat (A.S) bukan lagi negara alternative baik bagi menjalinkan pasaran ekonomi semasa. Dengan hutang negara mereka yang mencecah AS1 trillion dolar, negara itu mungkin akan lebur dalam lautan ekonomi, kalau bukan sekarang mungkin 5 tahun, mungkin 10 tahun atau mungkin 40 tahun lagi.

Saya menjangkakan pada masa itu, kebangkitan negara-negara Asia seperti China, Jepun, Korea (yang semakin mendapat sambutan dengan telefon pintar Samsung Galaxynya!), malah India sendiri akan menenggelamkan negara-negara Barat sendiri!

Rakyat Malaysia seharusnya merasa untung kerana kebanjiran kemasukan “pendatang-pendatang”, baik yang halal mahupun yang haram ke Malaysia ini membuka ruang untuk kita mengadakan kerjasama ekonomi sesama mereka.

Di sini, rakyat Malaysia mempunyai pilihan, samada untuk mengadakan perniagaan bersama orang Afrika, Arab, China, India, Nepal, Thailand dan lain-lain lagi!

Mungkin sikap dan persepsi kita terhadap mereka mengatasi segalanya, namun di sinilah letaknya kebijaksanaan kita untuk mencari lawan dan kawan! Adalah tidak masuk akal jika seorang lelaki dari Lebanon, mempunyai warung menjual kebab di Subang Jaya (there are few kebab parlour located near to Carrefour in Subang Jaya, Jose!) atau seorang “brother” dari Afrika membuka warung di sekitar Pasar Seni yang menjual barang-barang authentic yang dibawa dari negara asalnya!

Kita boleh mengajak mereka untuk turut menjadi rakan kongsi kita dan melabur di dalam kedai mereka.

Namun harus diingat, kita juga perlu bijak mencari antara intan dan permata kerana saya bimbang kalau-kalau di akhir cerita kita menjadi mangsa kepada sindiket perdagangan orang dan akhirnya menjadi orang buruan pihak polis atau FBI!

CLOWNITICIAN

Politicians do play wonders and are willing to do anything at all costs in order to gain popularity among voters and masses. During that process they tend to issue ridiculous statements and make fun of themselves! Whatever things they say and do reflects the policy and the ideology of the party they represent as a whole.

The recent Bukit Kepong fiasco, of which a maverick politician from an Islamic (?) based political party had claimed that the policemen who died while defending the station from the clutches of the terrorist a.k.a the communist are merely tools of the Imperialist!

If that is the case, we can assume that Ching Peng is the real hero and those who died defending this country have wasted their lives in doing so. All I can see is that this clownitician (a cross breed of clown and politician, Jose!) have raised anger among us, especially to relatives  involved in the Bukit Kepong tragedy. 

It is a blessing in disguise, if you look it from a positive angle. In other words it portrays the capability of a leader to lead this country and I doubt the rakyat would want to vote that clownitician for the next General Election, if they really love this country and wouldn't want the world to ridicule Malaysia. Imagine the same clownitician issuing farcical statements on his capacity as one of the Malaysian cabinet members!

To be honest, I dread imagining such things!!

PENDEKATAN PSIKOLOGI MENGELAKKAN REVOLUSI

Salam, kepada para bloggers dan pembaca blog syok sendiri ini!

Sejak kebelakangan ini, saya sering risau. Risaukan tentang pelbagai perkara; namun kerisauan ini berjaya dikurangkan sedikit apabila saya melihat kepada rasionale yang ditunjukkan oleh orang ramai, khususnya orang Melayu Islam di negara ini.

Ya, mungkin ramai yang sedia maklum tentang apa yang hendak saya perkatakan.

Mengenai serbuan pihak berkuasa di sebuah tempat ibadah tertentu. Namun selepas melihat video yang telah dipaparkan di dalam beberapa website, saya berpendapat ianya bukan sebuah serbuan semata. Lebih kepada pemeriksaan yang bersifat diplomasi.

Ada pihak tertentu yang cuba menjadikan isu ini sebagai isu politik dan tak kurang juga yang melihatnya dengan rasionale dan waras, seperti yang telah saya jelaskan di awal penulisan ini. Rasionalnya ialah sehingga setakat ini, belum kedengaran atau terbaca di dalam blog mahupun akhbar sebarang rumah ibadah dibakar, atau mungkin pengikut agama-agama tertentu diancam dengan ancaman bunuh.

Tidak.

Mungkin, sekadar mungkin rakyat Malaysia yang masih cintakan keamanan bersikap tunggu dan lihat. Atau mungkin kerana kasihnya mereka pada tanahair ini, mereka rela memendamkan kemarahan mahupun rasa tidak puas hati di dalam diri masing-masing? Saya tidak tahu.

Hakikatnya, kita harus mencari dan mengenalpasti, pokok pangkal kepada mengapa terdapat segelintir orang Melayu Islam, berjinak-jinak dengan cara hidup yang lain dari addin Islam. Selain daripada itu, kita juga harus mengenalpasti dan menyelidiki latarbelakang mereka ini, bagaimanakah dan apakah yang mencetuskan keinginan mereka mendampingi addin lain selain Islam?

Masalah ini tidak mungkin akan dapat diselesaikan selagi kita membuat andaian, maka andaian inilah yang akan terus menganggu di dalam pemikiran kita.

Hakikat utama yang tidak dapat dinafikan ialah pendekatan kumpulan agama tertentu ini bersifat psikologi, dalam erti kata lain mereka menusuki kalbu umat tertentu menerusi pendekatan mereka yang cukup mesra. Jika dilihat pada sejarah awal negara ini, sekitar abad ke-18 dan 19, begitu banyak mubaligh-mubaligh Kristian muncul di Borneo, bertujuan untuk merapati golongan Bumiputera di sana, yang rata-ratanya mengamalkan budaya animisme. Pada masa itu, senjata utama mereka ialah makanan, pakaian dan buku-buku serta ilmu. Maka, inilah pendekatan utama yang paling mujarab buat mereka.

Benar, wujud kes-kes umat Islam yang telah “berpaling” dari addin Islam di Malaysia. Ada yang berasal dari addin lain, menemui hidayah lalu mengikuti addin Islam. Namun hidayah yang ditemui itu bersifat sementara dan mereka kembali kepada hakiki asal.

Saya sendiri pernah bertemu dengan seorang “muallaf” yang mengalami masalah kewangan di Kuala Lumpur. Dia cuba untuk memohon pertolongan daripada Baitulmal, namun permohonannya ditolak dengan alasan, “muallaf” itu sepatutnya memohon pertolongan di negeri asal “muallaf” itu memeluk Islam.

Maka berkelanalah “muallaf” itu di Kuala Lumpur, tanpa wang mahupun tempat tinggal. Itu baru kes yang saya ketemui secara kebetulan, bagaimana dengan nasib “muallaf” lain yang mengalami pengalaman sama?

Selain daripada itu, ada juga umat Islam yang sememangnya lahir sebagai Islam namun perginya ke “negeri hakiki” ini menerusi jalan yang lain.

Mereka dikatakan bosan dengan cara dan gaya addin Islam ini, kerana terlalu banyak doktrin dan lain-lain hal. Ini mengerakkan mereka untuk “berpaling” ke kiblat yang lain. Persoalannya, apakah addin yang telah Allah tunjukkan, seperti yang dijelaskan dalam Surah 5:3;

“Pada hari ini Aku telah sempurnakan bagi kamu agama kamu ( Islam ) dan Aku telah mencukupi nikmat Ku kepadamu dan telah Aku redai Islam itu din ( agama ) kamu.”

Tidak difahami atau mungkin pendekatan yang diambil tidak menepati dengan kehendak zaman?

Hakikat yang harus difahami ialah zaman berdakwah, seperti yang digunakan sekarang adalah tidak lagi relevan dan tidak menambat hati dan sanubari generasi sekarang. Umat Islam, khususnya golongan pendakwah tidak boleh menyalahi umat bukan Islam yang cuba mendakwah kerana Allah telahpun menyatakan di dalam Quran, berkenaan perihal bukan Islam ini di dalam surah 2:120;

"Orang-orang Yahudi dan Nasrani tidak sekali-kali akan bersetuju atau suka kepadamu (Wahai Muhammad) sehingga engkau menurut agama mereka (yang telah terpesong itu). Katakanlah (kepada mereka): “Sesungguhnya petunjuk Allah (agama Islam) itulah petunjuk yang benar”.

Tanggungjawab yang lebih penting ialah untuk memastikan Islam sebagai addin yang disenangi semua dan umat Islam sendiri merasa senang dengan addin yang telah ditunjukkan oleh Allah ini.

Tempat-tempat ibadah seperti masjid, harus diubah menjadi tempat yang “mesra belia”. Mereka merasa senang untuk mendekatinya, biarpun belia ini dari kumpulan shuffler, pemuzik rock mahupun seorang bekas penagih dadah atau pengidap AIDS, mereka merasakan bahawa kehadiran mereka diterima dan dihargai.

Sudah sampai masanya untuk para pendakwah melakukan evolusi demi mengelakkan dari sebarang revolusi!

TOLERANCE AND UNDERSTANDING; CAN IT MAKE A PERFECT MATCH?

Salam, to fellow bloggers and readers of this self pitiful, resentment of the society blog!

I am observing closely on the saga of the Damansara Utama Methodist Church raid conducted by JAIS recently and I prefer to abstain myself from making any derogatory remarks on the said event. By doing this, it replicates my opinion of neither supporting nor objecting the act, but prefer to watch the whole ruckus with a personal opinion which I fancy keeping it to myself.

I let the authorities to do their job and those who are in the know to talk or discuss about it.
 

The most revealing fact in a multi-racial and multi-religious society is that there is no such thing as pure understanding or pure tolerance within us or among us. 

For the last 54 years, the fear of going through another clash, both religious and racial, as what our forefathers had witnessed in the 50’s during the Natrah tragedy (go and open up your history book, Jose!) and the May 13^th tragedy in late 60’s are still crawling at the back of our head and this have restrained us from doing any action that might trigger those incident again.

It is what I believed is called “tolerance”. On that note, have we ever thought on the repercussions, should we have exhausted all of the tolerance left inside us?

It is when another element, better known as “understanding” play its part to ensure the rudiment of the original concept of tolerance.

I often have doubt onto what extend do we, Malaysians have full trust on each other, be it a Malay to neither another Malay nor a Chinese to an Indian, vice versa?

How can we expect a smooth sailing of the craft named Malaysia brazing through the rough sea, when the crews are busy quarreling or have doubts on each other?

No doubt there are still loopholes in the concept of 1Malaysia, but what are the efforts been taken by most of us Malaysians to look into it, understand it and provide an idea on ways to solve the loopholes?

That is unless we prefer to remain in our domain and stay it that way. I believed I had mentioned in my previous so called “article” on the precious gem of a country; it’s not how tall our building is or the technology that we are able to procure, but rather the ability to live in a society cherish with solidarity and admirable understanding.

We should not install fear within us. It is important for all of us to have a full understanding on each other through and through, rather than living a society based on “tolerance” and “understanding”.

This is because both elements are easily worn out and can disappear with a blink of an eye. It only takes a silly argument or a heretic to dislodge these two.

Saya ingin mengambil kesempatan di sini untuk mengucapkan SELAMAT MENYAMBUT RAMADHAN dan SELAMAT BERPUASA.

Selama sebulan, manusia akan menjadi "manusia" dan sifat "kebinatangan" itu akan ditinggalkan buat seketika.

Namun jangan dikhuatiri kerana semuanya itu hanya bersifat sementara sahaja. Selepas sebulan, manusia pasti kan kembali kepada fitrah asalnya.
