Salam, to fellow bloggers and readers of this self indulgence and collectively a “poyo” blog (as claimed by a reader in his comment recently!).
Yesterday (29 May 2011) marks the 38th anniversary of the late Tan Sri (Dr) P. Ramlee’s passing and to commemorate it the Government, through the Ministry of Information, Communication and Culture on 29 May each year will organize Hari Seniman, a celebration filled with all kinds of activities relating to arts and culture.
I wonder why the Government won’t do the same to commemorate the late Dato’ Mokhtar Dahari passing, who died on 11 July 1991 and come up with something similar to that of Hari Seniman?
Perhaps the Ministry of Youth and Sports can decide to have the next Perhimpunan Sejuta Belia or 1 Million Youth Gathering on 11 July, each year.
Dato’ Mokhtar Dahari was one of those rare breed in the local sports arena and his contributions to Malaysia is huge.
Well, I’m just throwing out some ideas, if you don’t mind Mr. Commentator..
