Those who had ever said that women are a helpless lot will definitely have to eat the humble pie after reading the news here.
Perhaps, after many years of oppressions and often being chastised as merely an object for sex by the opposite gender, women had begun to stand up and fight for their rights. Ask Datin Marina Mahathir and she will explain to you with great details on the importance for them to do so!
I had never even once tried to undermine women as I have high regard for them. Especially when it comes to doing things where women are more committal and their perseverance to overcome challenges are higher than men!
I believe after reading the news, we (I was referring to us, men; Jose!) might have a second thought about women and one of it is that we can no longer mess around with them.
It is not a surprise anymore if one day a woman can become the Prime Minister of this country. It is just a matter of pride and principle that disallowed them from doing so.
